When Yu-Gi-Oh! first came out, they was a limited card list in the rulebook, where cards like Change of Heart, Monster Reborn, Dark Hole and the five pieces of Exodia was on it. Then the forbidden list came out, bannishing cards judged too powerful to be played. In April 2004, for the first time ever, cards was forbidden :
- Cyber Jar
- Fiber Jar
- Injection Fairy Lily
- Yata-Garasu
- Change of Heart
- Delinquent Duo
- Harpie's Feather Duster
- Painful Choice
- Raigeki
- Imperial Order
And today, 9 of the 10 are still forbidden.

After Exodia, Final Countdown and Destiny Board, the new instant win card.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game everybody knows they is 3 way to win a duel, reducing your oponent's Life Point to 0, make your opponent unable to Draw, and by card effect.
Until now they was 6 card effect that allowed a player to win instantaneously.
