All you should know about Inzektors.

On the newly released set Order of Chaos, the Ninja and the Wind-Up archetypes are now powered-up with new interesting cards, but the most played cards of the set are probaly the Inzektors. Why? Because it's cheaper thant Wind-up, and stronger than Ninjas.

The deck Inzektor is a dark-based deck with only 4 different new cards, Inzektor Hornet, Inzektor Dragonfly, Inzektor Centipede, and Inzektor Giga-Mantis (there are more Inzektor cards but only those 4 are played)

One of the main purpose of the deck is to have a Hornet in the Graveyard, and in order  to do so the deck is using cards like Armageddon Knight, Foolish Burial or Card Trooper.
It is a DARK-based deck, so Allure of Darkness and Dark Armed Dragon are a perfect fit to it.
Because almost all your monster are DARK Insect monsters, you can main deck or side  Rivalry of Warlords or Gozen Match.
The deck also can use Debris Dragon, Sangan and Tour Guide From the Underworld.
And of course they are Insect monster, so they can benefit of cards like Verdant Sanctuary and Lair Wire.
Inzektor Centipede and Inzektor Dragonfly are small-ATK monster, so you can protect them with trap cards like Safe Zone.

The Inzektor deck is focused on the same mechanic, they summon Inzektor Dragonfly or Inzektor Centipede, they use his effect to equiped himself with a Inzektor Hornet from the Graveyard or from the hand, they used the effect of Hornet to destroy a card, and then used the effect of the Inzktor monster who was equiped to special summon from the deck another Inzektor Monster (effect of Butterfly) or to add to the hand an Inzektor card (effect of Centipede). Like this, with the searching effects they can always have a way to have cards to play next turn.

Because of Hornet, when you have a big Monster on your field like Number 39: Utopia, Gorz, the Emisary of Darkness, Number 17: Leviathan Dragon or Dark Armed Dragon, you can be sure that he won't be here next turn. So when you have any advantage at all, you need to protect it, for example by removing from play the Hornet in the graveyard, by negating the summon of the next Inzektor monster, or by negating the effect of the Inzektor monster with card such as Effect Veiler, Skill Drain or Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror.

Plus, if an Inzektor Monster is equiped by its effect with an Inzektor Monster and his target by Effect Veiler or Skill Drain is activated, the equip spell Inzektor will go to the graveyard, because the monster will lost his ability to be equiped with a Inzektor Monster.

They are certain things to know about Inzektors.
To be more understandable, when I will talk about equip spell card I will talk about Hornet, Dragonfly, Centipede or Giga-Mantis, I will not actualy talk about equip spell card like Inzektor Axe - Zektahawk

Here are the things to know when Inzektor Hornet is equiped to another Inzektor and the effect of Hornet is activated and the Hornet is send to the graveyard as a cost :

- You can activate the effect of Stardust Dragon or Prime Material Dragon to negate the effect.

- You cannot negate and destroy Inzektor Hornet when he is been equiped to Butterfly or Centepede with cards like Dark Bribe, Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En or Evolzar Laggia. but you can negate the effect of the Centipede or the Dragonfly with cards like Divine Wrath, Herald of Orange Light or Evolzar Dolkka.

- You can activate Shadow-Emprisoning Mirror when the effect of an equiped Hornet is activated and send to the grave, but it will not negate the effect of Hornet, because the effect of Hornet is not the effect of a DARK monster but the effect of a Spell card.

Also, the part of the Inzektor effect as follows "If an Equip Card(s) is sent to the Graveyard while equipped to this card" is the same as for the Dragunity monsters. To explain:
- If the equip spell card is destroyed by Heavy Storm or Mystical Space Typhoon, the effect of the Inzektor monster will activate.
- If the monster equiped is destroyed in battle or by cards like Dark Hole or Mirror Force, the monster is send to the garevyard, and then because there is no longer the monster, the equip spell card will be send to grave, so the effect of the spell card will not activate, neither will the effect of the destroyed Inzektor monster.

If there is Dimensional Fissure on the Field, and a Inzektor  equiped with another Inzektor monster is destroyed, the Inzektor who was treated as a equip spell card will go to the graveyard. but if Macros Cosmos in on the field, will be removed from play, that way you can activate Macros Cosmos when Hornet is equiped to  an Inzektor monster to prevent him to activate his effect.

The part of the Inzektor effect as follows "Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card." is an Ignition effect, this means that the Inzektor monster soon to be turned into a spell card will appear on the field when the effect of the on-the-field Inzektor monster resolves. With this said, you know you can't put a Inzektor monster on a Spell card zone and then declare an effect. And this also means that if the effect of the Inzektor Monster is negated, the Inzektor monster destined to be a equip card stays where he was, if he was in the hand, he stays in the hand.

Moreover, the part of the Inzektor effect as follows "Once per turn: You can equip 1 "Inzektor" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card." doesn't target. Why? First of all because the card text doesn't say "Target ..." (thank you New Probleme Solving Card Text) and also because the effect affects the hand, and effect like Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier or Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon who can or cannot do something to the hand, doesn't target. So if you chain D.D. Crow or Dark Smog to bannish the only Inzektor monster in your opponent's graveyard, he still can equip one from his hand, and if he doesn't do so, you are allowed to check your opponent's hand to verify if he doesn't have an Inzektor in his hand to resolve his effect.

If a Inzektor monster is equiped with an Inzektor Monster and both are destroyed simultanously, by card effect like Judgment Dragon or Black Rose Dragon, the effect of the equip spell card will activate but the effect of the equiped monster will not.

An additional tip on how to build a chain when Hornet destroy Giga-Mantis. If your Dragonfly is equiped Hornet and Giga-Mantis, and the effect of Hornet is activated targeting Giga-Mantis, after resolving this chain, another chain will start. the new chain will either be :
Block Chain 1 : Inzektor Dragonfly
Block Chain 2 : Inzektor Giga-Mantis
Block Chain 3 : Inzektor Dragonfly
Or :
Block Chain 1 : Inzektor Dragonfly
Block Chain 2 : Inzektor Dragonfly
Block Chain 3 : Inzektor Giga-Mantis
The effect of Dragonfly will always be Block Chain 1, because Dragonfly will trigger first (because Hornet will be send to the grave as a cost for his effect). It is the Inzektor player who will choose one of the two chains I mentioned. So card like Solemn Warning can only negate the last effect on the chain.
And if the opponent chains Maxx "C" (as block chain 4), he will draw 3 cards (one card after each effect has resolved)

Some players are playing Inzektor Hopper in their build. Inzektor Hopper is used as a substitute to Inzektor Hornet. When Hooper is equiped, you can send him to the grave, and the Inzektor monster he was equiped to is the only monster who can attack, but he can attack directly.

Inzektor Hopper can be used during the turn 0, only if it should use a purpose, like triggering the effect of Dragonfly.

Another card can be used as a substitute to Inzektor Hornet, and it is Inzektor Ladybug :

Inzektor Ladybug can equiped to an Inzektor monster, than send to the grave to activate Ladybug's effect, who will add 2 levels to the equiped Inzektor. And it allowed the Inzektor player to control level 5 monster, which is useful knowing yhe can know summon rank 5 Xyz monster like Tiras, Keeper of Genesis, Wind-Up Arsenal Zenmaioh or Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon:

A equip spell card is also used in Inzektor deck, and it's Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber:

Zektkaliber can only be equiped to an Inzektor monster, and add 800 ATK and DEF to hit when equiped.
And when Zektkaliber is send to the grave when equiped to a Inzektor, you have to take back to the hand an Inzektor monster in the graveyard.
With Zektkaliber, you don't always have to used Hornet to destroy your opponent's card, you can destroy Zektkaliber.
Zektkaliber doesn't need to be equiped when send to the grave to trigger its effect, it only needs to be face up on the field, so when your Inzektor monster is destroyed by battle, you still have Zektkaliber effect.

Another equipe spell card can be useful in Inzektor decks, and it is Smoke Grenade of the Thief :

This card is not an Inzektor card (so you can't search for it with Centipede's effect), but is used the same way Zektkaliber and Giga-Mantis are, destroyed by your own Hornet. When Zektkaliber and Giga-Mantis offer OTK material, Smoke Grenade of the Thief is more for the control of the game.
Smoke Grenade is a Confiscation-like card, which allows you to look at your opponent hand and discard one card, but only when Smoke Grenade is destroyed by a card effect while active on the field.
So you won't get the effect of Smoke Grenade if it's destroyed because the equiped monster leaves the field.

    1. Lol, I really wrote everywhere Butterfly instead of Dragonfly. I probably thought when I wrote this that his name was Butterfly. ^^
I corrected it and I added some things.
