When Yu-Gi-Oh! first came out, they was a limited card list in the rulebook, where cards like Change of Heart, Monster Reborn, Dark Hole and the five pieces of Exodia was on it. Then the forbidden list came out, bannishing cards judged too powerful to be played. In April 2004, for the first time ever, cards was forbidden :
- Cyber Jar
- Fiber Jar
- Injection Fairy Lily
- Yata-Garasu
- Change of Heart
- Delinquent Duo
- Harpie's Feather Duster
- Painful Choice
- Raigeki
- Imperial Order
And today, 9 of the 10 are still forbidden.
